Some birds are human friendly. Usually, if the human is also friendly to them. The Pi-rit or Chestnut Munia  (Lonchura atricapilla) has its nest on a human owned orchid potting like this one.

This bird look like a Pied Triller (Lalage nigra) (mind me  - duno the local name) made its nest on a medicinal tree called Kalumpang in Native Dusun Tindal or Sterculia foetida growing on the side of a village house.

Commonly known as Si-it in Natives Dusun Tindal of Kelawat, Kota Belud or Brown-throated sunbird (Anthreptes malacensis) bird looking for a midday nectar meal from a flower of a potted orchid.

A juvenile Town Pirit or Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus) is waiting for the house owner to leave the kitchen area. Once the house is quiet then the bird normally fly in and are free to roam inside the house looking for any edible things for a meal. Then you'll find plentiful droppings after that. You seldom see this bird in the village in the 80's but now you often see them around houses, especially houses that are near a highway.

The bird (look like a hawk-anybody help identify) still look cool after being repeatedly provoked by a pair of  white colored birds, might be the Ashy Minivet (Pericrocotus divaricatus), swooping over this guy.

Local Natives Dusun Tindal of Kelawat, Kota Belud call this bird Pu-nae or the Pink-necked Green Pigeon (Treron vernans) in an early morning warming up.

A Lang-kag or Collared kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris laubmannianus) nosily and unceremoniously swooped down saying .. hey you using my twig, my turn to warm up now... these two pigeons ducked their head just to avoid the nasty guy.

The nearest pond is about 2 Kilometer from this twig, This bird has a routine, resting and nosily announcing its presence.
