Shell Mound - North Borneo Natives at Kelawat Kota Belud Sabah East Malaysia...Who left this shell mound here...? Who were these people?

Shell mound found on top of a hill about 400 feet above sea level.
Who were these people? No one knows. They left these shells here.
How long they stayed here? No one knows.
Perhaps these are human bones.
Adult bones?
OK these people perhaps were not vegetarian.
See they left fragments of pot and ceramic, the painting on the plate look like a fish shape,
perhaps these people used early Ming [ AD 1370 - 1400..] plates based on the fish motif drawing found on a plate at that site, like the above pic.
Another broken ceramic left by these people..
Perhaps they used these stones to crack the shellfish.
Maybe stone tool ?
Maybe bone or engraving made from shell of a giant clam?
Found gold or copper..? Need a metal detector to find many more.
When they turn east they see this valley and ridges.
Facing west side they see the South China Sea. The distance to the sea is about 1 mile. From where these people source the shellfish.

Who were these people that live here before the present people. No body knows who were these people. Neither has the idea where they came from. Existing natives rely on legends passed down from generation to generation, that these earlier people moved to the upland east, probably for security reasons.

The site is now forested but just before the year somewhere between the year 1910-20, as narrated to to this writer by an old man in the year 1990s, that this hill was just a grass hill. His village was at another hill, about 2 miles from this location. He rode a buffalo to this place, to meet neighbouring villagers, to indulged in social drinking (alcohol) and of course exchange stories.

This elderly man born in the early 1900 said that his grandfather told him that according to stories that were narrated by others, that these people were bigger built than the present natives.. Say 6 footers people. These people are simple people and peace loving. These people are known as Gobukon. (There natives people called Dusun Gobukon in Pinatau, Kota Marudu.)

According to him, they have an extra ordinary strength. In spite of their strength they could not stay on at that site for long from the unfriendly strangers called Maguindano. His grand father said that he himself was not told and don't know where these strangers came from. His grandfather told him that they came ashore by boats, from the sea nearby, in groups. They plunder the natives belongings and also kills. So these natives people moved to far upland mountains. Don't know where.

This site is along the west coast of Borneo and about 1 mile from the nearest South China Sea shore. Probably they traded with the Arabs, Indians, Chinese and Brunei. Exchanging them with forest commodities for metals, brass ware, copper ware, china ware and other precious metals. These strangers of course were after these bounties.

There were stories that these natives left jars of gold hidden at a location identified by two  yellow species of bamboo that they planted, one facing sundown and the other facing sunrise. You now can find one yellow bamboo near this site and another facing sunrise at the valley that are 2 miles apart.

Land owners nearby, about half  mile from this site, along the same hills, said that they too found shell mound of this kind and shells as plenty at their land.

Who were these people?
